The AI GUIDE project of DareMapp, the startup from Salamanca, has been selected for the “Last Mile” programme of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.

DareMapp obtains €292,000 to launch its guided tours project via mobile app, with which it aims to position itself throughout the national territory in early 2025.

The Salamanca startup DareMapp, with its well-known mobile app, has become one of the beneficiaries of the exclusive “Last Mile” programme, an initiative framed within the Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which has a budget of 69 million euros.

Of the hundreds of projects submitted from all over Spain, the most relevant have been selected. Only 8 are from Castilla y León, and one of them is the Salamanca-based DareMapp.

With a budget of €292,000, this project will enable the implementation of its tool for conducting guided tours through the DareMapp app . To this end, the application will have powerful functionalities, supported by artificial intelligence, which will guide tourists and allow them to personalise their experience in important areas such as accessibility.

Involved with tourism

Last November, DareMapp became the first startup from Salamanca, and one of the few from Castilla y León, to become part of the Smart Tourist Destinations Network, a programme promoted by the Secretary of State for Tourism, whose main objective is to improve the competitiveness of tourist destinations and the quality of life of its residents by focusing on areas such as innovation and technology.
